| Kenya Power launched a USD 200 million power project on FridayThe project is designed to bolster and stabilize power supply around Nairobi.Speaking at the launch, Kenya Power CEO Engineer Joseph Njoroge said completion of the project called Nairobi Ring Project in 2015 will boost the quality of power supply through enhanced voltage levels and reduce outages in the City.He added : 'The projects include construction of new substations, power lines, re-conductoring of existing lines, refurbishment of old substations and installation of a new power automation system.'Kenya Power has completed a total of 45 projects in various parts of the country, 17 of them in Nairobi. |
