Union Trustees Limited (UTL) formerly known as Barclays (Nig) Nominees Ltd was incorporated in 1966. Its main business t hen was to act as a Nominee company in whose name shares and insurance policies offered as securities to Barclays Bank ( Nig) Limited (now Union Bank of Nigeria Plc) were transferred for easy realization in case of default by the mortgagor. The company, a fully owned subsidiary of Union Bank of Nigeria Plc is duly licensed and registered by the Securities and Exchange Commission as Trustees and Fund / Portfolio Managers. Union Trustees Limited (UTL) has a paid-up share cap ital of N160million and the process of increasing it to N500 million is already at an advance stage. Our shareholders' f und is in excess of N1.67billion as at December 2007. The Company is well known as one of the most professionally-ru n Trustee Company and Funds Manager in the industry. The company's Board is headed by the Group Managing Director of Uni on Bank of Nigeria Plc as well as other seasoned and experienced Bankers and other professionals. |
